Hi, I'm Courtney...
I am a Registered Dental Hygienist, and the Founder and Executive Director of Painted Sky Dental.
I created this organization because I believe every person, regardless of where they live or what they can afford, deserves access to compassionate, high-quality oral healthcare. My work focuses on serving rural and underserved communities throughout Southwestern Colorado, bringing preventive and restorative services to patients who might not otherwise receive them.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and I am actively involved on the board of the Colorado Dental Hygienists’ Association where I advocate for access to care and professional advancement.
Along with leading Painted Sky Dental, I am an Adjunct Professor at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico. Supporting the next generation of dental hygienists is one of my greatest passions.
Outside of Colorado, I volunteer nationwide as a Mobile Dental X-Ray CORE Lead with Remote Area Medical (RAM) to help ensure essential care reaches people in remote and marginalized areas.
Southwestern Colorado is not just where I work, it is my home. When I am not traveling for clinics or teaching, you can find me on our incredible local trails, catching a show at the Durango Arts Center, or enjoying a meal at one of our amazing local restaurants.
